Best International Paper Award at the Academy of Management Meeting

At the 69th Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Eugene and Sebastiano were awarded Best International Paper Award from the Healthcare Management Division.

The paper "Toward a Behavioral Model of Shared Decision Making" was awarded the Best International Paper Award from the Healthcare Management Division. The paper was also nominated for the prestigious Carolyn B. Dexter Award.

This work provides an innovative framework, fostering current understandings of shared decision making (SDM) — the interpersonal encounter between patients and healthcare professionals. It specifically disentangles SDM into thematic domains and uses this evidence to provide a novel behavioral model that informs both theory and practice.

Congratulations to Eugene and Sebastiano for this important recognition.
